Because Border Collies have varying levels of energy and intensity, we must carefully match them with the appropriate home environments.
Our dogs are fostered in private homes and temperament-tested for their interest in play or work as well as their compatibility with children, cats (when possible) and other dogs. Border Collies with intense working drives are not appropriate as family pets and, therefore, we strive to place them in suitable working homes.
GLBCR dogs have been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered and heartworm-tested. We provide an online discussion group with advice & information, as well as follow-up support for the life of your adopted dog.
You may contact the foster volunteer listed for more information about a particular dog, but all prospective adopters must be approved through our Adoption Process prior to meeting any dog.
