Update: Drake was adopted in January, 2010. His foster mom writes: "When we arrived the family greeted us and were very excited to see Drake. Drake was a little excited especially since Daisy was outside barking. Once Daisy was let in the two dogs immediately started playing and hardly took a break for the 45 minutes I was there. Daisy also didn't seem to mind me licking my hand at one point, quite to my surprise. The children were very happy to see the two dogs getting along so well. I think Drake met his match with Daisy, they will definitely wear each other out!

"I was happy and sad at the same time, this was a pretty special dog. He always brightened my day with his goofy, happy nature! I am glad to have been a part of his rescue and placement."

Seriously, how could you NOT want to adopt this dog??

Drake's Foster Write-Up

I was rescued from an overcrowded shelter, where I was picked up as a stray. I love to be the life of the party, settling in quickly to any new situation. I have made myself right at home with my new foster family, including the cats. I greet everyone with great exuberance. I absolutely LOVE toys, and I am learning quickly to bring the toy back. I am good around other dogs but I can be a bit “pushy”. I am not bossy, I just don't know when to stop playing.

Drake does his best to be the center of attention. He loves to please and will work hard to get “it” right whatever “it” is. His favorite activities are chasing his doggie playmates around the backyard, and as you can see in his picture playing with the many outdoor balls. He loves attention and will lean against anyone to get them to play. Drake also will use his paws to ask for more petting, he never wants it to stop. His ideal home would be an active family dedicated to exercising him daily and willing to take him to basic obedience classes. He is already learning basic manners quickly with his foster family, but will need to continue his education. Drake will surely bring years of joy, and entertainment to his new forever family

This is me at the shelter. Even then, you could tell just how handsome I am.

Me in my foster home - just in time for Christmas!

Clearly, my future lies in modeling...

GQ should be calling any day now.

Here's a nice action shot to show my athletic side.

Jogging is a great way to keep in shape.
