Update: Kipster was adopted in February, 2009. We received the following update in February, 2011: "Much belatedly, we are writing to give you an update on “Kipster”, now Barley, who we adopted about two years ago to the day. He has been a wonderful addition to our lives. After a little adjustment at the beginning (we had languid Newfoundlands before this guy) we and he quickly adapted to each other. After nearly being euthanized by his prior owners, and treated badly before that, he has found his forever home. He keeps us happy and active, and we continue to be amazed at how SMART he is. We take lots of long walks, throw the Frisbee and go for rides together. We are truly lucky to have this guy! And a special thanks to foster mom Barb for helping on this journey."
