Miss Daisy came into rescue when her humans divorced. At twelve-years-old, everyone knew the shelter environment would be too much for her. Chris, a GLBCR volunteer, offered to hold her temporarily until a foster home could be found, and was immediately smitten with her. Volunteers Linda and Ken agreed to take her, having just lost their own sweet senior girl, Angel. Linda later admitted that she knew they would wind up adopting Daisy as a "foster failure" even before she arrived. To this day, Chris and Linda still jokingly "spar" over possession of Daisy. Isn't it wonderful that a dog nobody wanted is so well loved by two people (both of whom are, as a rule, up to their elbows in Border Collies)?
