Update: Nettie was adopted in March, 2008. In addition to finding a wonderful home, Nettie brought GLBCR two great friends in Iris and her son, Mike. A month later, Iris writes: "Nettie has become the major tail wagger (yeah!!) which she didn't do at all when we first got her...you should see her now...it makes me happy to see the progress she has made. What a greeter she is when i come home for lunch and after work. She gets on her couch by the window and waits for me and when I come down the street, she runs to the front door (per hubby)!
"She has also become comfortable enough to start trying to steal food off of the kitchen counters when we are in the other room (ie the big ham i made sunday)! Yup...working on that one!"
