Update: Chex was adopted in August, 2007, and is now known as Jack.
In December, 2007, we received the following update: "Jack is doing stellar. He loves playing fetch, is doing so much better with car rides and is a little over 40 lbs now. His favorite toy is this monkey that talks. I have to replace it once a month cause he tears it up so bad! He really is a sweet dog. He loves sitting up with Arthur at night while he plays guitar. And he knows that Art is his play buddy when he gets home from work. He seems to come to me for snuggles and Art for playing. He is a very smart dog. He has started barking, actually it sounds more like howling when he sees people outside of our house and growling. Its pretty cute. He has adjusted really well and knows that this is his home. He lets me dress him up in x-mas sweaters and polo shirts and even took a pic with Santa during our X-mas eve party. He is a pretty impressive preppy dog."
