Update: Baelie was adopted in February, 2006.
Baelie was abandoned by her former owners in Greenfield, IN - they moved and left her behind on the property. Police officers drove by and saw her - unable to come on to the property, they coaxed her to the car. Baelie came to the officers, and was transferred to the Humane Society. An experienced dog trainer evaluated her temperament as excellent and Baelie as a keeper. Baelie is housebroken - she had one accident on the first day, and none since. Baelie is crate trained - she "Kennels Up" very well. Separation anxiety doesn't seem to be too much of an issue with this girl. Baelie is very sweet and affectionate - she's always very excited to see us when we get home. She loves snuggling and being the center of attention. She likes playing fetch indoors, but is too distracted outdoors right now to play fetch. She's learning to wait for her food, and is learning not to pull on her leash. We're going to try clicker training with Baelie - will update on progress. Baelie's ideal home is with a family who can spend plenty of time doting on her and playing with her. She's very energetic, and might even enjoy running with a companion.
