Mahoney, now Gromit
Mahoney Gender: Male
Age: Puppy
Foster Home: Sheila

Update: Mahoney was adopted in November, 2005, and is now known as Gromit. We received this updated the following summer: "We adopted one of Yasmin's pups back in November of 2005. Our little Border Collie Gromit (formerly Mahoney) will turn one year old on August 16th (along with his brothers and sister). We couldn't be more thrilled to have him as part of our family. His foster mom described him as a comedian and as a happy puppy and he continues to live up to this description. He brings us a million smiles and laughs a day and I can't imagine our life without him. His laid back older brother has made good friends with him, but, I think, continues to wonder what the fun is all about. It doesn't matter to Gromit. He is just as happy accompanying us on a walk, as chasing a ball, a bird, a butterfly, or the garden hose. He went with us on a wilderness canoe trip to Northern Minnesota this summer and has turned into a great little camping/canoeing companion. He loves the water but never attempted to bail out of the boat until he was told to do so. Getting him back on land once we encouraged an afternoon swim was another story. He is also showing great promise in his beginning agility classes and if we can figure out what weave poles mean we may actually be ready to compete before he turns two. I've had people ask me what kennel I got him from and I have great fun telling them that he came from rescue. He doesn't need special papers or breeding to be the best border collie around. The attached pictures came from our canoeing adventure in July."
