Update: Brooke was adopted in January, 2005.
Brooke is a lovebug who loves to run around, then race up to you and
plop down on her little behind for some cuddling. She is a beautiful
little thing, a wildly patterned blue merle, expressive eyes and very
mobile ears. At 32 lbs. she's just the right size for your lap. Of
course, she likes to go for carrides and walks, and she LOVES to swim
and splash around in the water. She can leap up like a gazelle, as
though she has springs in her legs but has not make any attempts to
escape the fenced-in yard. With the right guidance, she would be
perfect for agility. Her dream home would be as an only dog, or maybe
with a submissive male who doesn't mind if she takes over leadership.
Brooke is ok with dog- experienced cats. Older children are welcome in
her life. Border collies have been bred for herding instinct, never for
color. This has resulted in a wonderful array of colors that are all
beautiful. Brooke is a blue merle, which is not as common as the
traditional black and white, but is preferred by some, and very
striking. It is not uncommon for merle dogs to have one or two pretty
blue eyes, which only adds to their character"
