Gender: Female
Age: Adult
Foster Home:

Update: Lindsey was adopted in 2004. We received the following update from her new family: "Things are going great! Lindsay is completely spoiled already! I'm so glad that she liked us. She is getting very good at playing catch with a tennis ball, loves to pull on the rope, and is thinking about the Frisbee. We've been working on learning 'lay' and continuing on 'heel'. She is doing very well. I'm so glad we looked into your rescue. I just can't say enough about her."

Lindsey's Story

Lindsay came to us as an 11th hour rescue out of a shelter. Her time was almost up and the folks there loved her so, they pleaded with us to come get her. And thank goodness that we did, because she is such a fine dog! She is about 2 years old. She is gentle and loving and has excellent house manners. She is patient when we have to leave, staying on our enclosed porch where her crate is. She doesn't bark excessively or chew things she shouldn't. I guess you would say, we think the world of her. She is definitely a mix - but hard to say what breeds, though we think there is some border collie because of her sweet temperament and her silky coat, as well as her size: @ 47 lbs. We haven't seen her around small children yet, but around other adults and dogs she seems fine. She is getting to know the basic commands: Sit, Come, Shake, Heel (she is catching on to taking walks nicely). She is very alert and eager to learn. Her most endearing trait is her smile. Yes, she smiles at us, especially when we come in the door, or she is happy; it is so endearing we have to hug her! Lindsay would be a wonderful family pet.
