Kassi, now Gracie
Gender: Female
Age:
Foster Home: Sheila

Update: Kassi was adopted in February, 2003 and was renamed Gracie.

History: Gracie's first owners took her to obedience class, but didn't have the time to spend with her. She was given to friends, who didn't realize the activity level of a BC. After three months, they surrendered her to a Humane Society. Gracie was lost for a few days, after an accident during transport. A Good Samaritan found her and took her to the authorities.

Update:

Gracie's put on about 5 pounds so we can't see her ribs anymore. Other than that, she looks like the same adorable dog we adopted from you. She is honestly the best dog in obedience and agility classes (please note the mother's pride). She acts as if she has already worked all of the obstacles before. On top of that, she seems to be getting along better with the other dogs. She plays better and doesn't always need to be the dominant one. I just want to thank you once again for helping us find the perfect addition to our family. Gracie is doing really well in our home. She loves chasing squirrels and birds and seems to get along with the cats fairly well. We've completed several obedience classes and took basic agility last summer. Once it warms up again, we'll probably start again.

It seems like she really likes the interactions with all of the other dogs in the classes and she's pretty good at it too. She's a very spoiled dog and now sleeps on the bed with us. Brian felt really bad about making her sleep in the kennel even though she didn't seem to mind it. She has a basket full of toys that she plays with every chance she gets, as I'm sure you remember. Some of them don't even squeak anymore but doesn't seem to bother her at all.
