Update: Dylan was adopted in 2003. "Dear GLBCR Friends, Just wanted to keep in touch, since my e-mail has been out for so long. Dylan is the world's best dog and he is thriving with us! He is a snuggler and wants to be held by one or both of us anytime we're home. He manages the long days without us well, but is definitely ready to play as soon as we get home. He has a stuffed goose and a stuffed squirrel as favorite toys -(his earlier ball died of teeth punctures!). He also enjoys a chew toy from time to time - and is great with sticks in the park. Especially he loves the snow, so we will have to make up for Spring to him by extra walks. In the snow he does a wonderful "wolf" imitation, leaping and bounding and generally being frisky. Then he has an imaginary herd of sheep that he rounds up, barking and growling until all are together - of course, there are no sheep visible to my eyes, but he is clear about where they are and where they should be. He sleeps in the bed with Davidson each night, or if Davidson should not be home, he sleeps literally on top of me. He has gained a bit of weight over the winter, so we probably need a doggie diet for awhile, but maybe the increased exercise will help. His favorite time of day is breakfast when he shares a piece of toast with Davidson - it's the only time of day when he's allowed to beg. At the end of June, I'll be leaving my present position, but remaining in Chicago. I'll try to keep you updated as to e-mail and phone changes. Meanwhile, I just wanted to thank all of you for your role in helping us find such a perfect match. Dylan sends his love too and a wet kiss."
