Update: Catherine was adopted in 2003 and is now known as Kenya.
History: Unbeknownst to us Catherine's time was up at an overcrowded Illinois shelter, when a GLBCR volunteer saw her picture on our website and emailed her rescuer to ask how she was doing. Catherine was immediately taken out of the shelter and eventually moved into our rescue, although nothing was known about her physical condition or veterinary needs. Fortunately, she tested negative for heartworm infestation, so she's been brought up to date on her vaccinations and started on preventative, and she'll be spayed this week. Her foster mom says Catherine is fine with small children, and cats, and usually ok with other dogs as long as they don't get in her cute little face! She is a tiny girl, only 37 lbs and has a beautiful long black coat.
