At about 2 1/2 years old and 50 pounds, Doby doesn't know his own strength but he is learning so he should be watched around small children. He responds well to vocal corrections. 
Most of the time he needs to be coaxed into a crate but is good once in and at night he prefers the crate even with the door left open.
Doby is very low energy for a Border Collie, even a mix. He does like a ball for a while and a nice game of tug with a rope.
Doby still likes to mouth so we are working on that, along with his desire to smack with his paws a little too hard to get attention.
Doby doesn't run very much, more of a trot. I don't think he would be a good performance dog.
He does like to cuddle and get attention and can really fill a lap.
Doby would definitely benefit from formal training, it would also help with forming a bond. 
How could we say "no" to that face?
